Finally i have shifted to my new hse on last sat & now the most dreaded part is the unpacking of boxes & arranging them back in places/closets. In process of shifting i hurt my thumb & it become swollen & painful on the slightest touch. Aniwae glad movin hse is over...Will update the picture in my hse soon.

    MAIN POINTS TO REMEMBER

    1. Confirm date of moving and make the necessary moving arrangements:
    2. Notify utility companies of moving date and arrange for final metre readings of disconnection of services. Supply them with your new address for the final bills.
    3. Start packing away items you don''t need on a daily basis. Bin items you know you no longer need.
    4. Label and itemise each box. Mark which room the box is intended for so the movers can place all boxes in the right rooms. Do make sure to write "delicate" or "fragile" on the side of boxes that contain breakables.
    5. Make up a box for essential items - kettle, tea bags and coffee, cups, bathroom supplies, towels, mobile phone recharger, first-aid supplies, bin bags and sleeping bag.
    6. Empty and defrost the fridge and freezer the night before you move.
    7. Take a walk through and check that everything you intend taking with you has been packed away. Ensure that all windows are closed and appliances unplugged.
    8. Ensure that the house is clean for the new owners.

    ♥ The answer's in the air ♥
